Cow's in the soft ball field

Last Time I wrote about the rice field near to my house.  Our home is located in the HangDong area of Chiang Mai and my family also owns a dormitory in the main city area near Payap University.

One of my duties is to visit the dorm everyday.
One morning early this week i noticed that there were these oxes laying on the soft ball field in front of our dorm.

They peacefully sat there and nothing seems to possibly attract them.

The owners comes and leave them here with sometimes a bucket of food in the morning then late evening he will come to pick them up back home.

Strange but unexplainable why i'm happy to just see them there.

Relief & Relax

Is it strange that as the order I get the smaller things I appreciate?

I learn to enjoy reading peoples blogs, awe by the clear azure sky, cry by reading forward mails or feel so full by a simple hug.

Have i become irrational or really learned how to appreciate?
Honestly I truly don't know.

But I do know that I like this small little burnt earth figure.
I found it in front of the men's restroom in a gas station during my journey home last weekend.

It made me smile by the expression on its face.

I think most people including myself give the kind of face after completing our business in the toilet.

On the way home

Last Sunday after 2 days in Bangkok it was time to bring my fiancée to Chiang Mai. Luckily my Dad had prepared a driver for us so i didn't have to drive. The Bangkok to Chiang Mai road was good but the 6-7 hours drive can exhaust you more or less depending our your fitness.

So with someone driving i could relax, enjoyed the road side view and be with myself in my thoughts.

As a result i took pictures of the sky from my mobile phone. The picture quality was so so for such mobile device but it was enough to remind my of how luckily i am to be born and could acknowledge God magnificence through the beauty to nature an equally right reachable and deserved for every human.

"The Big Mango" For me today "Familair yet Strange"

Today's entry is about Bangkok, Thailand's big & proud capital city. I am here to pick up my fiancée to Chiang Mai this coming Sunday.

Bangkok for me today felt familiar but yet had a drop of strangeness in my thoughts.  I liked it, lived in it for a few years, yet today i was annoyed by the traffic jams that were in the level that i would not bother at all if it was 2 months ago.

Have i slowed down, may be or its just how people get use to their habitat?  Is it a normal experience for people who returns to big cities after living in the up country?

Chiang Mai Univeristy Graduation

It is the graduation ceremony period for Chiang Mai University. The biggest government own University in the Northern Region so Chiang Mai is crowed again with all happy family members of the graduates.

Yesterday was the final rehearsal and was formally  known as the photographing day for the graduates because they had to be fully dressed for the rehearsal and had some free time during the sessions.

One most popular areas was in front of the old main meeting hall.  I also went there to congrats my friend whose completed his master degree and just wanted to share some photos.

I never been in any graduation ceremony out side Thailand (except for my Mom) so i don't no how's it done else where but I think it wouldn't be much different.

A view from the old Meeting Hall

Crowed with graduates, photographers and happy families.

A Long Line of souvenir.

Luang Pu Jan's Crematorium

I had to opportunity to pay respect to "Luang Pu Jan" one of the most respectful and recognized senior monks of Chiangmai or even the northern region of Thailand.

He was the pioneer of schools and foundations. Also was active in preaching through many media from speech, radio, television to pocket books (My mother also collected some of them).

His crematorium was made honoring him in all aspects by his students and people who admire him.

The out come was amazing. The crematorium was in the figure of the "Hatsadeelin" (Please forgive me if is misspelled it) a mighty Himmapan Forest animal (a mythical animal from Hindu and Buddhism belief). It had a body of a bird and a head of an elephant. This Hatsadeelin is blue meaning it is a male gender. Stretches16 meters long, 6 meters wide and is 4.3 meters from the base to back.

An amazing creation honor for a person who is truly amazing.

Next to My Bed room window

It has been almost 2 months since i returned back home, and it has been one of the most exhausted period of my life. My head spins and automatically targets its landing on the pillow every night.  Hopefully i would gain control of my life soon (if there is such a thing...gain control).

Each morning when i dress myself up i couldn't help glancing through my bed room windows.
Surprise mixed with familiarity came through my mind.  The picture of farmers preparing their coming rice season bring me back the years I left this room. Quite some time i been away i thought and glad to see some things haven't change.

Last week on trough my bed room window
