What is failure?

The concept of failure has been in my head for the past month.  What is a failure? I'm so scare to be a failure a loser.  Why i'm not successful as my friends? How would people look at me if i fail? Would people say sarcastic words to empathy me?
A picture of the Lotus flower from our families dormitory

I have been reading lots of books about achievement and failures and my conclusion is there are both a concept of how we see or judge. One's failure could be a life time achievement of another.

The same Lotus flower just another shot.
These to pictures captured the same lotus flower taken by the same camera (My Nokia). Only a few seconds differs the colors. Which one is the failure or achievement? I depends on how you like a lotus to be color.

Like Failure and Achievement their only the different side of a coin.

From last years "Fashion Set"

Don't know i'm using the right word or not for a "fashion Set".  Really its just finding some people to put on our clothes and take pictures of them.

One of the pictures we got from that set

Our 1st fashion set during October last year. I came up with the ideal or by my naiveness that Why we don't have any pictures of our clothes taken on people before? So i assembly a group of friends. Well telling you the truth the models, photographer and the locations were all my friends. So it was a very low budget fashion set.

My friend who is a real professional photographer conducting

Local Fresh Market at Chanthaburi

The Front of the Market
I had a chance to travel to Chanthaburi for a business trip. It was fun (a little tried) on the way back we had the opportunity to visit a small local fresh market, which we Thais call "Talad Nut"

"Talad ตลาด" mean Market and the word "Nut นัด" mean a appointment. So the "Talad Nut" is a temporary market place that is active for a short time on a agree day. It depends on the popularity of the market. Normally it would be active around twice a week. The more popular it grow sthe more days it will be active and will turn to be a permanent market in the end.

Fresh vegetable are available
This market was placed near a gas station in the rural area of Chanthaburi. Frequent customers are factory workers. Chanthaburi have many kinds of factories ranging from Chicken to Canned fruit. So the quality of the products were not good. Just to keep you surviving.
Wanna Play?
What I enjoyed the most was the moving play ground. It is one of those moving Child's play ground which moves frequently to everywhere that has a market like this. Merchants or Buyers pay only a small fee to keep their children happy why their shopping.

Its a nice life style, reminds you of how easy life could be if you just simply it.....

Heres the Chanthaburi website: http://www.chanthaburi.go.th/indexA.htm

Rod Nam Dam Hua

Another thing that I like about Songkran is that there is a tradition for the young to visit their elder.

We call it in Thai “Rod Nam Dam Hua” Briefly it is done by the young pours water in the elder hands and receive blessing in return.
It is for us to make a visit, pay respect and ask for forgiveness if we had done any wrong to them.

I really like this tradition. Now this tradition has become very popular and common.

Around 2 days ago, I had an opportunity to join my friend’s family to a modern trade store for lunch and groceries shopping.
The Store also did this tradition, a few store staffs and the mascot walked around and “Rod Nam Dam Hua” every elder they found.

My friend’s father also had a part of this activity. Even it was a marketing or PR activity, I still felt good.

Songkran Festival The Bad & The Good (Part 2) - Such a Waste

My unused Stuff...I found clearing my room for this Songkran
I don't know if it is correct or not but for most New Year for every culture, the seniors will encourage you to clean up the house. This is to clear the mess and welcome the good fortune that is coming.

I don't 100% believe in that but I believe it's a good ideal to clean up things since our life in the modern world now is so busy you don't have much time for yourself (Even to clean up your room) and that is no exception for me. I alway put things on the table or bed until it is to messy to live in.

This year clean up was something special for me. I haven't really live in this room for almost 9 years so the room was occupied by my Mom as her 2nd working room ( She'll use it when her desk to to messy also).

So I cleaned up the room and it took me almost a day(Wow!!).
I was slowed down when i ran into my treasure box where i kept my childhood treasure such as picture, stickers, friendship books, card and old uniforms. They remind me of many things and i decided to keep them further on.

But what i found was a full box of old cassette tapes, unused note books and unread books. I couldn't believe how much money i spent on them and totally wasted them. That money could brought me a new computer or a vacation trip to Phuket!!!
Such a fool Such a fool....

That also reminds me of my life.
What am I still wasting.....? Time, friendship, knowledge or a hidden potential that i have yet discover. I bet there is a lot.
I think i have to start looking at life a little more careful.

"Songkran Festival" The Bad & Good (Part1)

Songkran the Thai New Year is one of Thailand’s most famous holiday and festival.

If you have a chance to be in one you would want to be in the hype again the next Year.

In terms of the atmosphere The Thai New Year has a completely different feeling from the Western New Year because it is dated in the middle of the hot summer, while the western New Year is dated during the ice winter.

I don’t know exactly why but my personal conclusion is the temperature during this time of the year is normally to hot for people to work or concentrate.
So instead of wasting your time trying to work or concentrate and then get moody why don’t just let yourself loose and cool down by splashing water at each other.

It’s the fun of the season, getting cool down by splashing water. What makes you more Happier than that?

Sadly everything taking in such extreme can be dangerous, No exception for Happiness.

I’m sure every were in the world people cerebrate with Liquor, goes the same for Thailand but I also know that We Thais normally Drink and Drive.

Which everyone also knows it’s a deadly habit. It’s bad enough if you hurt yourself in an accident while your drunk but it’s worst if you also hurt some one else

Even with strong campaign by Government sectors to liquor manufactures. The Death troll is still high Last year (2009) there were 3,977 accidents, 373 deaths and 4332 wounded 40% of the accidents were cause by drank drivers

It’s fun to hang out with friend and being Happy is good but its better you wake up happier the next day.
Happy SongKran

Fairness Contrast

Just came back from Bangkok last night, my flight was from at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
http://www.suvarnabhumiairport.com/

Even though lots of political problems and violence occurred during the pass days in Thailand.
The Airport was still crowed with people mostly tourist (Thais) waiting to start their holidays.

There were tour group signed destinate to European countries such as Swiss and Italy. Definitely a good choice for a place to spend time during the hot summer.

It's such a contrast, some people are facing the burning sun to carry out their duties or belief, while some or just moving to a cooler place.

But I also believe that life has it own fairness, everyone has their ups and down, problems to cope with. We all just have to do our best completing our jobs. In "jobs" i also mean fulfilling your "Life" role as a good family member, a responsible son, a caring husband or a thoughtful friend.

If we all concentrate in doing our job, i truly believe we will have a better society.

I am also trying my best.................and have to try more.

Sunshine+Flowers+Gentle Breeze = Summer

The warm Sunshine, the blooming flowers and the touch of a gentle breeze....Welcome Summer.

When I was young Summer wasn't my most beloved season, living in a tropical country as Thailand summer could exhaust you if your were a little to careless.

Now after many seasons i learnt to appreciate all the seasons as I now see they all have peace and beauty in unique ways.

So today i took a picture of some flowers bloomer during my walk to lunch.

Sometimes i think Life is for your to enjoy so i tried to enjoy every enjoyable second.
