Sudden Rain

I was such a sunny day for the first half of the day

and while i was enjoying my luandry work the rain suddenly poured down.

 Thank God it took just a while till the Sun came out.

Life is like this right? Problems occur so fast it's hard to handle but eventually they will pass

and hopefully the warmth will reach us in the end.

The tropical strom Gaemi will reach Thailand this weekend so we better prepare for more sudden rain.

Another special moment for my family.

Every religion is good, any certification is solely a proof of
determination and desiration for a better life and a wiser self.
Each person has a journey to complete and along the way comes various stories
you never finish a chapter until the end.

Today my wife opened a new one.

Mysterious bug

I found this mysterious insect on the stair steps at my dorm yesterday.
It looks kind of cool but i cound not identify what kind of insect was it?
To me it looks haft grass hopper half cockroach.
Ah...well after a closer look it's more on the later side right?
That means my dorm is a little bit to dirty now.

Cabbage on the double

Its cabbage season!!!
Money time for the hill tribe farmers (most cabbage are grown in the mountains).
There is an urban lengend that a guy could cash in a million Thai Baht in a single year from sell cabbage!!!
Seeing with your own eyes how diligent and hard working they are the tale has some reality.

Still it rain today, one pour before early dawn and another welcoming dust.
The daily showers grants the air refreshness and clean.
On the stone floor of church found a broken brach lying on nature's mirror.
I imagine it's glancing the tree reflexing in the water.
Sadly miss it's pass life? or simply happy see it still standing?
Wondering further when came my time laying down
How will my reflextion appear?

Today is Sunday 16 September 2012
It was pouring rain during the morning temping for most to stay in bed.
I also was let for church and had to settle down on the outer stone seats.
Thanks God the rain stopped leaving only a sensce of refreshness.

Rising Ping river



The rising Ping river.

 After a few days of rain early in the morning and evening, the water level of the Ping river has rising to an level that reminds us of last year's flood. A worrying deva ju for all people in Chiang mai. Hopefully it won't happen.

At least we can see some sun during the afternoon.

Today i went to see a drag racing competition at Chiangmai 700th Year Anniversary Stadium.

My first time to this kind of events. I just realized how popular the sport was even though it was a bit too noisy for me but it felt really good seeing these youngsters mostly participating in the motorcycle race, putting their talent and effort in modifying their bikes instead of abusing their lives and wasting time with drug (let's face it Thailand is still on of the world's biggest drug traffickers.)

For the adults completing in the car event was totally pure passion (and a portion of madness).

ไปดูแข่งรถแล้วย้อนมองชีวิต

รถต่างประเภทต่างรุ่นก็ลงมาแข่งกันได้

 วันนี้รุ่นพี่ชวนไปดูแข็งรถ แดรก ที่สนามสมโภชเชียงใหม่ 700 ปีมาครับ พี่เค้าเอารถไปแข่งผมเลยได้เป็นช่างกล่องจำเป็น ความจริงก็อยากจะไปนั่งให้กำลังใจบนรถ แต่ด้วยชีวิตที่เกินร้อยเกรงว่าจะไปเพิ่มภาระให้กับยางและเครื่องยนต์เสียเปล่าๆ

ผมเป็นคนที่ชอบดูรถแข่ง อย่างพวกเฟอร์มูล่าวันแต่ไม่เคยไปดูเค้าแข่งกันจริงๆสดๆอย่างนี้ นับเป็นครั้งแรกในชีวิตคนใจป๊อดอย่างผม

ซึ่งเป็นอะไรที่แปลงใหม่ดีครับ รุ่นพี่ผมไปทดลองสนามตั้งแต่ตอนเช้ากว่าจะได้แข่งจริงๆก็เกือบบ่าย 3 เนื่องเนื่อง
จากมีผู้สมัครลงแข่งเยอะพอควรทั้งรถมอเตอร์ไซด์ทั้งรถยนต์และรถกระบะ

นั่งดูยืนดูผมเลยได้ข้อคิดหลายๆอย่างจากวันนี้

1. จนแข่งกับตัวเอง
การแข่งแดรกจริงๆแล้วเป็นการแข่งกับตัวเอง คนที่ทำเวลาเข้าเส้นชัยได้ใกล้เคียงกับเวลาที่กำหนดไว้ชนะ เช่นลงรุ่น 11 วินาที นาย ก. เข้าที่ 11.20 วินาที ส่วน นาย ข.เข้าที่ 09.70 วินาที ในกรณีนี้ นาย ก. ชนะไปเพราะเวลาใกล้ 11 วินาทีมากกว่า แม้จะใช้เวลามากกว่าก็ตาม

ในชีวิตของคนเราบางครั้ง การก้าวไปตามจังหวะของใครของมัน(รถคนละรุ่น แต่งมาคนละอย่าง) แล้วไปถึงเป้าหมายในเวลาที่เหมาะสมจะออกช้าจะออกเร็วต่างกัน แต่ต้องรู้ตัวเอง ไม่ต้องสนคนที่ลงแข่งข้างๆ แต่คนเรามักจะชอบระแวงคนอื่น แทบทุกครั้งผมจะเห็นคนแข่งมอเตอร์ไซค์เหลี่ยวมองคนข้างๆ บางคู่เกรงกันเองจะ ทำเวลาทะลุ (ทำเวลาได้เร็วกว่าในช่วงเวลาที่กำหนด) ตกรอบไปทั้งคู่ก็มี ในชีวิตจริงๆของเราก็เหมือนกัน บางครั้งเรามั่วแต่ไปพะวงถึงคนรอบข้าง เพื่อนร่วมรุ่น จนเกรง

2. แพ้ชนะแค่เสี้ยววินาที
ในรอบน๊อกเอาท์ (คนที่ทำได้เวลาในห่างจากเวลาเป้าแพ้) บางคู่ชนะกันเป็นหลัก 0.005 วินาที ซึ่งมหัศจรรย์มาก มันยากที่จะติดสินกันได้ด้วยตาเปล่า? เหมือนชีวิตของคนเราบางครั้งแพ้ชนะตัดสินด้วยความรู้สึก คนที่เตรียมตัวพร้อมกว่าทั้งร่ายกาย การทำงาน และจิตใจย่อมชนะไป

3. โดนว๊าก เสียบ้าง
ผู้คุมการแข่งขันดุมากๆ ซึ่งในโลกของความเป็นจริงๆก็ต้องยอมรับว่า การคุมคนหมู่มาก บางครั้งก็ต้องอาศัยความดุนี้แหละปราม และสร้างวินัย ดุตัวเองบ้างก็ดีในบางเวลา

4. อย่าเพลินจนลืมดูแลตัวเอง
กลับมาบ้านมีแต่คนตกใจว่าหน้าแดงตัวดำ ต้องจำไว้ว่า คร่าหน้าไปดูแข่งเมื่อใด ต้องทาครีมพร้อมก้างร่มด้วย จงอย่าอาย บางครั้งคนเราก็เพลินกับสิ่งแปลกๆใหม่ในชีวิตจนลืมดูแลตัวเอง

ทัพมดอพยพ

ช่วงนี้ฝนตกบ่อยเหลือเกิน หวังว่าน้ำจะไม่ท่วมนะปีนี้ (คงได้แต่หวัง) ปัญหาที่เจอที่ออฟฟิสช่วงนี้คือการที่มดอพยพหนีน้ำขึ้นมา ดันเห็นโต๊ะทำงานเราเป็นแนวทางเดิน ที่จริงก็กะจะไม่ว่าอะไรหรอก แต่นั่งมาได้สักวันสองวัน รู้สึกว่าฆ่ามดไปเยอะมากมาย (ไม่ว่าจะด้วยความตั้งใจหรือไม่ก็ตาม) รู้สึกบาปมากเลย พยายามไปหาซื้อ ชอล์กขีดกันมด ที่ห้างใกล้ๆ ปรากฎว่าของหมดชั้นเลย กลายเป็นสินค้าขายดี แปลว่าไม่ได้เป็นคนเดียวที่เผชิญกับปัญหามดอพยพ

Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust

An Cemetery in the middle of a rice field. 

Yesterday i went to attend my wife colleague's mother funeral service (quite complicated hah). She battled breast cancer for a few years then passed peacefully last week.

The service was held on her home town church. The day was hot but around a hundred people shown up to gave their last farewell.

After the morning ceremony which was apart of the Sunday service, the host supply lunch and then all was move to the cemetery, which was in the middle of  a rice field. It suddenly remind me of the phrase "Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust" When our time has passed all will return to Earth as supplement for the new.
