A visit to our Tailor's house

An Old but Classic Sewing Machine

This Tuesday 8 June 2010, I had a chance to accompany my sister to one of our tailor's house, located at Amphoe Saraphi not too far from our shop. It took only about haft a hour drive to reach the house.
I'm not sure could it be call a small factory or not? I just like to called it as a tailor's house. Because it is actually a house with a separate area for tailor work.  Mrs. Tip was the head of this group, the group has around 3-4 regular tailors at work. Mostly are house wives. Mrs. Tip act as the group leader and supervisor.
The purpose of my sister's visit as usual is to collect the finish products and check the ones that are still in process (Follow up).

Also today i have found a new knitting tailor, because our clothes have a lot of handmade details such as knitting we are always need a good knitting tailor. Which is hard to find one who could deliver good quality work. (Knitting requires a tremendous amount of skill and patient, personally i won't last for more than 30 minutes into it). So today Koy have a meeting with our new knitting tailor to check her work and discuss some details.

Since i have skill in garment tailor my job that day was to count and separate our clothes into sizes to check if it is correct according to our job order.

Our Tag

Well personally i had quite a boring day but today gave me some spark to continue working at Chiangmai Cotton. I could not say that our shop has any CSR compare to Foundations or Voluntary Organization. But at least I know my job provides some income to the local are at least give them something to do during the day.
